Stallion Bus And Transit Corp.: Visibility › Windshield Wiper/Washer › Switch/Wiring
Stallion Bus And Transit Corp. reported this defect to federal regulators on Mar 11, 2016 and put the number of vehicles at risk at 12. The repair is free for as long as the recall stands.
The defect
Stallion Bus and Transit Corp. (Stallion Bus) is recalling certain model year 2013 900 series transit buses manufactured from March 1, 2013, through October 31, 2013. The 12 volt to 24 volt power converter on the wiper system may shut off when the wiper speed is changed resulting in a loss of wiper function.
The risk
Visibility will be reduced should the wiper assembly stop working during operation, increasing the risk of a vehicle crash.
The remedy
All of the affected buses were repaired on April 30, 2014. Therefore, an owner notification letter will not be issued for this recall campaign. Owners may contact Stallion Bus customer service at 1-631-270-3800.

What this page is, and what to do next
A recall is not an opinion. It is a Part 573 report a manufacturer is required by federal law to file once it decides a defect poses an unreasonable risk to safety, and it commits them to repairing the vehicle at no cost to the owner. The three passages above are the manufacturer’s own wording as published by NHTSA.
This page describes the campaign. It cannot tell you whether one particular car has already been through the shop — that is tracked by VIN, and only the manufacturer knows it. Check yours at nhtsa.gov/recalls or with a franchised dealer, quoting campaign number 16V152000.
