Newmar Corporation: Tires
Newmar Corporation reported this defect to federal regulators on Feb 2, 2016 and put the number of vehicles at risk at 165. The repair is free for as long as the recall stands.
The defect
Newmar Corporation (Newmar) is recalling certain model year 2015 Ventana, and 2015-2016 Ventana LE vehicles manufactured January 16, 2015, to January 13, 2016 built on Freightliner Chassis. The affected vehicles may have a front rim maximum pounds per square inch (psi) rating of 120psi which is lower than the Michelin tires maximum inflation rating of 130 psi.
The risk
If the tires are inflated to their maximum pressure, the rims may suddenly fail due to being over pressurized, increasing the risk of a crash.
The remedy
Newmar will notify owners, and at the owner's choice dealers will either install a new Federal Tag Label with the correct psi rating or install 130 psi rated front rims. The recall began on March 22, 2016. Owners may contact Newmar customer service at 1-574-773-7791.

What this page is, and what to do next
A recall is not an opinion. It is a Part 573 report a manufacturer is required by federal law to file once it decides a defect poses an unreasonable risk to safety, and it commits them to repairing the vehicle at no cost to the owner. The three passages above are the manufacturer’s own wording as published by NHTSA.
This page describes the campaign. It cannot tell you whether one particular car has already been through the shop — that is tracked by VIN, and only the manufacturer knows it. Check yours at nhtsa.gov/recalls or with a franchised dealer, quoting campaign number 16V055000.
