E-One Incorporated: Air Bags
E-One Incorporated reported this defect to federal regulators on Oct 13, 2015 and put the number of vehicles at risk at 18. The repair is free for as long as the recall stands.
The defect
E-One Incorporated (E-One) is recalling certain model year 2014-2015 Typhoon, Cyclone II, and Quest emergency vehicles manufactured October 28, 2014, to August 29, 2015. The affected vehicles may have left the production facility with a harness for the front air bag system disconnected.
The risk
If the air bag harness is not connected to the air bag control system, the front air bag will not deploy in the event of a crash, increasing the risk of injury.
The remedy
E-One will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the air bag harness, connecting it as necessary, and test the system for proper operation, free of charge. All affected vehicles have been repaired. Therefore an owner notification letter will not be issued for this recall campaign. The recall is expected to begin during November 2015. Owners may contact E-One customer service at 1-800-627-5050.

What this page is, and what to do next
A recall is not an opinion. It is a Part 573 report a manufacturer is required by federal law to file once it decides a defect poses an unreasonable risk to safety, and it commits them to repairing the vehicle at no cost to the owner. The three passages above are the manufacturer’s own wording as published by NHTSA.
This page describes the campaign. It cannot tell you whether one particular car has already been through the shop — that is tracked by VIN, and only the manufacturer knows it. Check yours at nhtsa.gov/recalls or with a franchised dealer, quoting campaign number 15V646000.
