Forest River, Inc.: Seats › Front Assembly › Head Restraint
Forest River, Inc. reported this defect to federal regulators on Jun 23, 2015 and put the number of vehicles at risk at 2. The repair is free for as long as the recall stands.
The defect
Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain model year 2015 Dynamax Rev vehicles manufactured November 25, 2014, to November 26, 2014. The affected vehicles may have been manufactured with head restraints that exceed the maximum backset measurement limit of 55mm. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 202a, "Head Restraints."
The risk
If the vehicle is struck from behind, the head restraint may not properly limit the seat occupant's head movement rearward, increasing the risk of injury.
The remedy
Forest River will notify owners, and Chrysler dealers will replace the front seat head restraints, free of charge. The recall began on July 8, 2015. Owners may contact Forest River customer service at 1-574-262-3474 ext. 212. Forest River's number for this recall is 55-06112015-0051.

What this page is, and what to do next
A recall is not an opinion. It is a Part 573 report a manufacturer is required by federal law to file once it decides a defect poses an unreasonable risk to safety, and it commits them to repairing the vehicle at no cost to the owner. The three passages above are the manufacturer’s own wording as published by NHTSA.
This page describes the campaign. It cannot tell you whether one particular car has already been through the shop — that is tracked by VIN, and only the manufacturer knows it. Check yours at nhtsa.gov/recalls or with a franchised dealer, quoting campaign number 15V397000.
