Nova Bus: Parking Brake › Conventional › Air
Nova Bus reported this defect to federal regulators on Jun 5, 2015 and put the number of vehicles at risk at 250. The repair is free for as long as the recall stands.
The defect
Nova Bus is recalling certain model year 2001-2004 LFS buses manufactured January 1, 2001, to December 31, 2004. The affected vehicles have certain air hoses that may have been incorrectly connected to the R14 valve, causing a delay when applying the parking brake.
The risk
A delay in the application of the parking brake may result in the bus rolling forward or rearward a few feet, increasing the risk of a crash.
The remedy
Nova Bus is confirming that all buses were inspected and repaired. Nova Bus will notify the owner of any unremedied bus and dealers will correct the hose connection, free of charge. Owners may contact Nova Bus customer service at 1-450-472-6410. Nova Bus' number for this recall is CR3405.

What this page is, and what to do next
A recall is not an opinion. It is a Part 573 report a manufacturer is required by federal law to file once it decides a defect poses an unreasonable risk to safety, and it commits them to repairing the vehicle at no cost to the owner. The three passages above are the manufacturer’s own wording as published by NHTSA.
This page describes the campaign. It cannot tell you whether one particular car has already been through the shop — that is tracked by VIN, and only the manufacturer knows it. Check yours at nhtsa.gov/recalls or with a franchised dealer, quoting campaign number 15V350000.
