Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC: Fuel System, Gasoline › Delivery › Fuel Pump
Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC reported this defect to federal regulators on Feb 18, 2015 and put the number of vehicles at risk at 355. The repair is free for as long as the recall stands.
The defect
Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC (Jaguar) is recalling certain model year 2013 XF vehicles manufactured September 11, 2012, to October 8, 2012. The electronic modules which control the fuel pump may shut down causing the fuel pump to stop pumping fuel.
The risk
The fuel pump shutdown will result in the vehicle stalling. The vehicle would also lose power-assisted braking and power-assisted steering. Any of these conditions may increase the risk of a vehicle crash.
The remedy
Jaguar will notify owners, and dealers will inspect, and install if necessary, an additional wiring harness to the in-tank fuel pump, free of charge. The recall began March 23, 2015. Owners may contact Jaguar customer service at 1-800-452-4827. Jaguar's number for this recall is J051.

What this page is, and what to do next
A recall is not an opinion. It is a Part 573 report a manufacturer is required by federal law to file once it decides a defect poses an unreasonable risk to safety, and it commits them to repairing the vehicle at no cost to the owner. The three passages above are the manufacturer’s own wording as published by NHTSA.
This page describes the campaign. It cannot tell you whether one particular car has already been through the shop — that is tracked by VIN, and only the manufacturer knows it. Check yours at nhtsa.gov/recalls or with a franchised dealer, quoting campaign number 15V091000.
