Wheeled Coach Industries, Inc.: Suspension
Wheeled Coach Industries, Inc. reported this defect to federal regulators on Oct 10, 2014 and put the number of vehicles at risk at 29. The repair is free for as long as the recall stands.
The defect
Wheeled Coach Industries, Inc. (Wheeled Coach) is recalling certain model year 2014 emergency vehicles built on Dodge 4500 and Chevrolet CG33803 (G3500) chassis, and 2013-2015 emergency vehicles built on Ford F-450 chassis. The affected vehicles are equipped with LiquidSpring-brand aftermarket suspension kits. The mounting bracket that attaches the suspension fluid tank to the frame may fail, allowing the fluid tank to separate from the vehicle.
The risk
If the suspension fluid tank mount fractures and the tank separates from the chassis, the tank may become a road hazard, increasing the risk of a crash.
The remedy
Wheeled Coach will notify owners, and LiquidSpring dealers will install a re-designed bracket, free of charge. The recall began on December 4, 2014. Owners may contact Wheeled Coach customer service at 1-855-661-9232 or LiquidSpring customer service at 1-765-474-7816 extension 109.

What this page is, and what to do next
A recall is not an opinion. It is a Part 573 report a manufacturer is required by federal law to file once it decides a defect poses an unreasonable risk to safety, and it commits them to repairing the vehicle at no cost to the owner. The three passages above are the manufacturer’s own wording as published by NHTSA.
This page describes the campaign. It cannot tell you whether one particular car has already been through the shop — that is tracked by VIN, and only the manufacturer knows it. Check yours at nhtsa.gov/recalls or with a franchised dealer, quoting campaign number 14V642000.
