Starcraft RV: Equipment › Other › Labels
Starcraft RV reported this defect to federal regulators on Aug 19, 2014 and put the number of vehicles at risk at 12. The repair is free for as long as the recall stands.
The defect
Starcraft RV (Starcraft) is recalling certain model year 2015 16RB Launch travel trailers equipped with the Extreme Package Option, manufactured April 16, 2014, to April 21, 2014. The information on the Federal ID label incorrectly indicates an 80psi cold tire inflation pressure instead of the correct pressure of 50psi. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 120, "Tire selection and rims and motor home/recreation vehicle trailer load carrying capacity information for motor vehicles with a GVWR of more than 4,536 kilograms (10,000 pounds)."
The risk
If the user inflates the tire to the incorrect psi noted on the label, a tire blowout could occur, increasing the risk of a crash.
The remedy
Starcraft will notify owners, and dealers will remove the incorrect labels and replace them with a new label with the correct information, free of charge. The recall began in late August 2014. Owners may contact Starcraft customer service at 1-800-945-4787.

What this page is, and what to do next
A recall is not an opinion. It is a Part 573 report a manufacturer is required by federal law to file once it decides a defect poses an unreasonable risk to safety, and it commits them to repairing the vehicle at no cost to the owner. The three passages above are the manufacturer’s own wording as published by NHTSA.
This page describes the campaign. It cannot tell you whether one particular car has already been through the shop — that is tracked by VIN, and only the manufacturer knows it. Check yours at nhtsa.gov/recalls or with a franchised dealer, quoting campaign number 14V509000.
