INTERMITTENT STALLING AND ENGINE SHUTDOWN OCCURS DURING ALL SPEED RANGES. IT HAS OCCURRED MORE THAN 25 TIMES. ORIGINALLY ASSESSED BY PIAGGIO SERVICE AS POSSIBLE WATER IN FUEL ON ACCOUNT OF HEAVY RAINS. IT OCCURS WITH EVERY TANK OF FUEL AND VISUAL INSPECTION OF FUEL IN TANK SHOWS NO VISIBLE SIGNS OF WATER, WHEN THE ENGINE STALLS OR QUITS THE CONSEQUENCES DEPEND ON WERE IT HAPPENS. I NO LONGER ATTEMPT INTERSTATE DRIVING. THE DEALER WILL BE ATTEMPTING TO TROUBLE SHOOT THIS ISSUE BECAUSE HE UNDERSTANDS THE POSSIBLE CONSEQUENCES WHEN AN ENGINE SHUTS DOWN AT 60 MILES PER HOUR.
