Defect. A THROTTLE CONTROL CABLE WITH AN INNER "STEEL SHIELDED" COMPONENT WAS SUBSTITUTED FOR A CABLE WITH AN INNER "STEEL STRANDED" COMPONENT IN A DESIGN WHICH REQUIRES A MINIMUM BEND RADIUS OF 4 INCHES. THE INNER "STEEL SHIELDED" CABLE HAS A MINIMUM BEND RADIUS OF 8 INCHES, AND CAN BIND OR BREAK IN ITS CURRENT USE IN THE THROTTLE ASSEMBLY.

Risk. THIS CAN RESULT IN LOSS OF VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL AND AN ACCIDENT.

Remedy. REPLACE THE ENTIRE CABLE A NEW CABLE WITH THE SPECIFIED 4 INCH RADIUS CAPABILITY.
