Defect. VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: ARTICULATED TRANSIT BUSES. UNDER EXTREME BRAKE APPLICATIONS, THE SLACK ADJUSTER YOKE IN THE REAR BRAKES CAN COME IN CONTACT WITH THE ALXE MOUNTING HARDWARE.

Risk. THIS CAN REDUCE REAR BRAKE CONTRIBUTION DURING A STOP INCREASING THE RISK OF A VEHICLE CRASH.

Remedy. THE OWNER WILL BE PROVIDED WITH PARTS, INSTRUCTIONS AND REPAIR ASSISTANCE AS REQUIRED. THE OWNER WILL REPLACE THE AXLE U-BOLT WASHERS AND TRIM THE EXCESS U-BOLT LENGTH.
