INTERNATIONAL TRUCK CORP HAS BEEN HAVING SERIOUS BRAKE FAILURES ON THOUSANDS OF SCHOOL BUSES AND MEDIUM DUTY TRUCKS SINCE 2008. THESE FAILURES ARE FOCUSED AROUND THE MERITOR MADE HCU WHICH PROVIDES ELECTRICALLY BUILT PRESSURE TO THE WHEELS. THESE FAILURES HAVE BEEN MASKED FROM NHTSA THROUGH AN AGREEMENT WITH THE VENDOR TO REPLACE FAILED COMPONENTS DIRECT WITH REPAIRING LOCATIONS. THE VENDOR HAS RECORDS OF PAYMENTS MADE TO REPAIR LOCATIONS. INTERNATIONAL HAS SOLIDIFIED THIS ACTION IN THE FORM OF A WARRANTY POLICY LETTER FORBIDDING DEALERS FROM FILING CLAIMS FOR BRAKE FAILURES ON THIS PRODUCT. *TR
