WHILE DRIVING 55 MPH, THE FRONT DRIVER SIDE TIRE CAME OFF THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED. THE CAUSE WAS NOT DETERMINED. *JB CONSUMER JUST INSPECTED WHEELS AND THERE WAS NO HEAT ON FRONT WHEEL BEARING COVER. DROVE 36 MILES AND THERE WAS A LOUD BANG AND THE ABS INDICATOR LIGHT CAME ON. THE DEALER HAD JUST PERFORMED A RECALL ON FROM MITSUBISHI 5,000 MILES EARLIER AND INDICATED EVERYTHING WAS OKAY, YET THE WHEEL FELL OFF. *BF *NM
