TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 KAWASAKI VN900. WHILE OPERATING THE MOTORCYCLE, THE CONTACT HEARD A WHINING SOUND FROM THE ENGINE AND THE BATTERY DRAINED. THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY SHUT OFF. THE MOTORCYCLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE STATOR WAS FAULTY. THE STATOR WAS REPLACED, BUT THE FAILURE CONTINUED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 25,000.
