TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 KAWASAKI 1600 NOMAD MOTORCYCLE. THE CONTACT STATED THE SPEEDOMETER WAS OFF BY 10 MPH AND IF TRAVELING AT SPEEDS OF 50 MPH, THE SPEEDOMETER WOULD READ 60 MPH. THE MANUFACTURER ADVISED THE FAILURE WAS A COMMON AND NORMAL INDUSTRY PRACTICE AND WOULD NOT ASSIST WITH REPAIRS. THE CONTACT WAS CONCERNED BECAUSE HE WAS UNABLE TO DETERMINE THE EXACT SPEEDS TRAVELED. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGES WERE 6,363.
