Summary: vehicle shutdown while my wife was driving 25 MPH, lost all engine propulsion and brakes failed. Thankfully, she was driving in community/residential street and could pull over safely, rolling to a stop in a side lot. If she were at higher speeds or on a freeway, my wife and others could have been seriously injured. Details: Alerts for the brakes system "Brakes system problem. Brake performance may be reduced. See your dealer" and one involving tire pressure (cannot recall the exact message) came on at 35 MPH. She then came to a stop at a stop sign normally about 30-60 seconds later, then proceeded to accelerate again, continuing on her short route. At 25 MPH, the instrument cluster, all screens/electronics went black/off, propulsion stopped and brakes failed. She was able to steer the vehicle to a side lot as it rolled to a stop. After 20 minutes of attempts to restart the car, it finally restarted as if nothing happened. Further more, in between attempts to restart the car, the infotainment screen would randomly turn on, despite not having turned on the car at that time. Subsequently drove to dealer for inspection and awaiting response. Vehicle has had no other problems, only 5500 miles, just under 1 year old.

Owner reports filed with NHTSA about this vehicle, newest first and reproduced as filed. They are unverified accounts: one proves nothing, and a pattern across many is the thing worth reading. Back to the full 2023 record →
Top right edge of shoe (Taos Women's Startup Sneaker) can be entrapped between top face of the accelerator pedal and lower edge of console trim panel, compromising car control. Seems to be shoe specific. Inspection available upon request. Problem has not been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center. Vehicle has not been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others. Problem caused by accelerator pedal/trim panel proximity and trim panel edge design. Problem has occurred twice.
The contact owns a 2023 Honda Accord. The contact stated while driving at undisclosed speeds, the vehicle shut off independently. Additionally, while driving 70 MPH, the vehicle decelerated to 0 MPH. The transmission warning light illuminated. The contact stated that the Lane Keep Assist became inoperable. The contact was able to pull over safely. The contact was able to restart the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, where the warning light was reset. The dealer was unable to duplicate the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was contacted, and informed the contact there was no recall coverage on the vehicle for the failure. The contact stated the failure was related to NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V588000 (Power Train). The contact was referred to the dealer. The failure mileage was approximately 17,000.
[XXX] My wife was driving this hybrid vehicle when it suddenly lost power in middle of road about a city block from starting location. There were no reasons for any automatic hazard overrides to become active. Dashboard displays stayed on but there was no accelerator response, and, importantly, there was an immediate loss of power steering and power brakes. Vehicle was traveling uphill and the emergency brakes had to be applied to arrest backward motion after coming to a stop. Judging by rate of slowdown, regenerative braking may also have been active. Rapidly following this, several diagnostic/warning messages (re brakes, steering, etc) started flashing in succession and then the message "see your dealer." About 10 minutes after this incident, my wife made one attempt to restart the car after turning the car off and then on. The response was a repeat of the flashing messages. I arrived at the scene about 20 minutes after this and the car restarted in a normal fashion. So, unfortunately, this is an intermittent, difficult-to-firmly-diagnose problem. Nevertheless, in view of the severe safety issues associated with this failure, we had the car towed to a Honda dealer. They found several items in the car's diagnostic system and, in consultation with Honda engineers, performed a software update for the ICM (ignition control module?) which, we were told, would address this problem, since other similar complaints had apparently been registered. The HUGE SAFETY ISSUE that this fail
While traveling at approximately 72 mph along the NYS Thruway at approximately 6pm on Februay 17, 2024 the vehicle's emergency braking system activated. There were no vehicles or obstuctions present at the time. The cruise control system was engaged at the time of the incident. The vehicle slowed immediately to approximately 59 mph. The dashboard flashed a yellow light indicating to the driver to immediately brake. This happened very quickly and the vehicle then resumed normal speed. At the time of the incident the vehicle was approaching an underpass that was several hundred feet ahead of the vehicle at the time. There has been no incidents prior to this one. I believe our safety was put at risk, as the sudden slowing of the vehicle could have caused a rear end collision. At this time, the vehicle has not been inspected by the manufacturer, police, or insurance agencies.
I was travelling across a bridge at 45-50 MPH when suddenly, every single warning light came on and the engine shut off. I had to coast over the bridge and into a parking lot. I turned the car completely off and back on and the warning lights went away. The next day, I took the car to the dealership I purchased it from where they performed tests and concluded that rain caused my vehicle to shut off, this is not the first time they have encountered a similar issue, and there is nothing they can do about it. This is not an acceptable answer, as I cannot worry about mine and my family's safety in the car every time it rains. If there was another vehicle close to me when this happened, there would have been an accident. If this is a common issue, Honda needs to address this ASAP.
This past December (2023) while driving my 2023 Honda Accord Hybrid I experienced an issue where multiple warnings about the Engine, the Break System...etc lit up on the dash along with a warning to contact a dealership. As the warning messages lit up the dash, the car lost all drive-power and slowly decelerated to a stop. I had not made it out of the parking lot of my apartment complex, and a power-cycle allowed me to return back to my parking space. The obvious safety concerns, especially if I was in traffic, are self-evident as a crash could occur. The sporadic, unexplainable, and unpredictability makes it 10x more concerning from a safety standpoint. I've had one checkup since, and I have an subsequent appointment to have this checked even further. I've found other testimonies online from customers who've had this or similar experiences with this same make/model/year. I felt it best to report this as it could be a larger issue than the manufacturer currently understands or is making public.
On 1/21 at about 12:20pm, the gas pedal on my 2023 Honda Accord Hybrid stopped responding mid-drive with no warning while going uphill at 25mph. Had to stop in the road, put the car in park, then put it back in gear and the pedal worked again. After the pedal cut out, multiple alerts cycled on the dash, but only the gas pedal stopped working. This is the 3rd such incident since buying the car new on Apr 30: (1) June 25 going downhill at roughly 30mph on a neighborhood road. I shut off the car and restarted, and the pedal worked again. (2) Nov 16 on the freeway going 60-65mph. Pulled over, shut off, restarted, and the pedal worked again. I brought the car to my dealer each time. They found “loss of communication codes” but could not replicate the issue. They still have my car as of now and told me via text that "your Accord is communicating codes that we do not have a repair for yet." Unfortunately, they have closed my case without making repairs because they "have not found any issues in the system". This puts me and any drivers around me in danger, especially on the freeway.
I was driving , went to turn onto a street from another when my car lost power. Warnings popped up but I was so concerned about getting out of oncoming traffic, that I did not have time to read them, let alone take photos. I turned the engine off and restarted the car. It started without problem but a Brake System Problem alert popped up. It advised to take the car to the dealer. After turning the car off and on again, the alert went away. The car was towed to the dealer on 1-18-24. The dealer is working on it as of today, 1/31/24.
The contact owns a 2023 Honda Accord. The contact stated that while driving at approximately 60 MPH, the "Power Train Failure" warning light illuminated, and the vehicle decelerated to approximately 20 MPH. The emergency braking system began activating. The contact coasted to the side of the road and had the vehicle towed to the residence. The failure also occurred while driving approximately 30 MPH. The failure had occurred three times. The vehicle was taken to the dealer but was not diagnosed. The dealer reset the vehicle to disengage the warning light that was illuminated. The vehicle had not been repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 18,000.
I was backing out of my driveway and put the car into drive I accelerated and applied firm brakes to slow the car down cause I forgot my brother. Brake system warning and tire pressure warning popped up and stayed. Turned the car on and off and it was still there. The next day everything was back to normal. Took it to the dealer and they said no codes were stored in the cars computer. Literally the next day a code popped up for the lane keep assist and disappeared 3 seconds later( this never happens usually). Took it to the dealer again but they said they can’t do anything if they can’t replicate the problem themselves. I’m suspecting an electrical issue.
While running car warning light came on and vehicle stalls. Car wont go faster than 10 to 15 mph. This happen 4 times withing 5 months of purchase. First time took it to dealer and they were unable to find any problems. One more call dealer and dealer rep. said it probably was sensor or windshield camera but did not fix the problem. It happen again 2 times and took it to dealer and dealer said battery failed test and replace it. Same day after picking vehicle out of dealer it happen again. Purchase this vehicle as a relieable car for my daughter leaving to university and all it been is unsafe and unrealiable to her.
Only four months of owning a 2023 Accord Hybrid EX-L the drivers side mirror with BSI-blind spot information, no longer is viewable at highway speeds. The dealership is aware but they say there is nothing they can do about this. I was told by the dealer that this particular drivers side mirror is on a very long back order across the country. I was told some mirrors were replaced but the same issue is occurring. Everyone is waiting on Honda to come up with a solution. It’s a dangerous situation while attempting to change lanes on the highway and not be able to view out the drivers side!
The car has stopped suddenly after taking a turn on the road. It gave a bunch of warnings on the speedometer display saying the TPMS failed, Brake System failed, Collision Detection failed, and contact the service center immediately. I restarted the car, the car started moving. The warnings were still there for some time and they started disappearing one by one.
I bought a 2023 Honda accord sport hybrid June of 2023 two weeks after purchasing the vehicle it starting giving me issues such as the dash board and infotainment screen would freeze up and completely erase itself I took it to the dealership 2 times they told me that if it didn’t do it at the dealership there was nothing they could do so they sent me home with the car. A week later I notice the safety system lights were coming on and saying system not working see dealer service soon I took photos of it and showed it to them they once again told me if it did not duplicate it self there was nothing they could do. I took it to them for the 3rd time for the same issue with even more photos and a video and got the same response. The same day I was otw to work and the whole system shut it self down again and erased completely and the dash board froze up I took it to them again on the first week of January and got them same excuse. Then on January 16 I was otw to work traveling at 45-50 mph when the car completely cut off and locked the steering wheel up and said shift to P to restart engine then after restarting the battery and brake system stayed on for 2 day then I took it to them on January 18 and they told me they didn’t know what the issue was with the car but it could be wiring and the wiring harness. And when I asked them to replace the car because I no longer feel safe driving it they told me they don’t think they can replace the car
The contact owns a 2023 Honda Accord Hybrid. The contact stated while driving 55 MPH, the vehicle lost motive power and was difficult to steer. The contact shifted from drive to neutral before the vehicle shut off and coasted to the side of the roadway. The hybrid battery and engine systems warning lights and several unknown warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was towed to the dealer where it was diagnosed with a defective Hybrid battery system control module. The vehicle was not repaired due to parts not being available. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 5,640.
The contact owns a 2023 Honda Accord. The contact stated that while entering the vehicle, his wife noticed a vertical crack at the top right corner of the windshield. The contact inspected the windshield from the outside and there was no indentation of the glass around the crack that would indicate an impact on the windshield by road debris or any other hard object. The contact had not taken the vehicle to a local dealer or a glass shop. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 3,600.
The steering wheel of my Honda Accord Hybrid model 2023 is sticky. When driving at about 50 miles per hour or more, the steering wheel is sticky, and when rotating, it suddenly becomes stuck. I need to correct the steering wheel all the time, which greatly affects my safety
The warning lights dealing with the braking system malfunctions. All warning lights dealing with the Braking system come on the dash. The brakes failed to engage and the car began to roll backward on a hill had to use the emergency brakes to stop the car. This problem has happened twice since I had the car on 12/6/2023 at which time all warning lights came on dealing with the brake system and on 01/09/2024 both times the car was tested by the dealership and no codes were showing but I have a video of both incidents I provided. Both incidents were reported to the dealership on the same day of occurrence. 12/6/2023 and 01/09/2024. During this time the car was in EV mode and the acceleration would not respond as well. The only way to get the car back running normally was to turn the car off wait a few minutes and turn it back on. The photos attached will show speed and any other information needed because it is two different occasions of the same issue. In the second incident, a vehicle was behind me as the car began to roll back on a hill and I engaged the emergency brakes to avoid rolling back into the other vehicle.
Driver seat moves foward when brakes are applied. Took to dealer they stated they couldn't find anything wrong. Took me to another car and shake a driver seat and state they all move some. I own several vechicles and they never moved when breaking a vechicle.
My wife was driving 55 mph taking our kids to school when the check engine light on the car came on and a message appeared on the dash saying that there was a power emission problem and to see dealer and that power may be reduced. The vehicle had very poor acceleration and she was only able to drive 30-40 mph on a busy 55 mph roadway. The vehicle was taken to Zeigler Honda of Kalamazoo. A service technician looked at the car, and told her that they could not find anything wrong with it. The vehicle drove fine home with no problems. One week later while driving on I-94, my wife was driving between 70 and 75 mph when the check engine light came on again, along with the message that there was a power emission problem and to see dealer. The message also stated that the power of the vehicle may be reduced. The vehicle again, had very poor acceleration. She was only able to drive 15 to 20 mph. Fortunately, she was able to get off the highway quickly, and drive the vehicle home. The vehicle had very poor acceleration and it took approximately 1.5 miles to get up to 40 mph in the vehicle with the accelerator pushed all the way to the floor. The dealer was contacted, and they advised they looked at it last time, and there was nothing that they could do. They advised they will create a service appointment to document the problem. I am in the process of waiting for the service department to call me back. I plan on taking the vehicle back to the dealership to have it inspected again, and
The rearview camera while backing up in low light is terrible at best. It cannot safely be used to back up due to the "snowy" pixels, even the dealership agrees the quality is less than poor. No the camera on the back is not dirty at all. I have pictures available, but your form below does not allow me to attach them.
This vehicle upon heavy rain/downpours the vehicle foward collision sensors may activate and cause sudden dangrous and potentially life threatening braking. one day it was raining very bad i was alone on the road going about 45 mph. the storm caused a really bad downpours and the car suddenly braked hard with no reason whatsoever. it only happens when it rains severely. im not the only person who has experianced this. people on the facebook 2023 honda accord hybrid page has had the same issue. this system needs to be updated before it takes someones life. it is unsafe to drive this vehicle under heavy rains due to the automatic braking system kicking on due to being overwhelmed by heavy rains.
On Tuesday evening, December 19, 2023, while driving at highway speeds, the following message appeared on my digital display: BRAKE SYSTEM Brake system problem. Brake performance may be reduced. See your dealer. Other system messages began to appear, including, I believe, concerning the steering. More important, the car immediately went into a “limp mode“ with the speed dropping to 20 miles an hour, and then further down to as slow as 2 mph. Fortunately, I was not far from an exit and at the exit I pulled off the exit ramp onto the grass. I then shut the engine off and restarted it immediately. I was able to get back onto the exit ramp, but the initial message quickly reappeared and I was able to make it home driving between 10 and 15 mph. The next day the car was towed to the dealer who advised me that the issue was resolved by updating the software. At no point, did I ever receive a message or other indication that a software update was needed. The car has fewer than 5000 miles on it. The safety issue results from my being forced to drive at a very low speed while still on the highway. I independently did some online research and discovered that this type of issue has happened before with both this model and other Honda hybrids.
Good afternoon. I am contacting you because the dealer is not doing their job. For half a year of owning a car, we visited more services than we drove the car. The reasons for this: the steering wheel shook when driving this car from the very beginning, because the chassis was faulty. When braking, sounds and creaking are heard as if the car's chassis is shaking. The dealer said this is how it should be, but I know it shouldn't be this way. From the very beginning, the driver's front left wheel behaved incorrectly when driving at any time (the reason for this) was that the suspension system was not working properly. and all this is conveyed to me by the shaking steering wheel. The dealer says that's how it should be. (not true) Lately all the lights on the dashboard have been giving errors, including the check engine light. While driving on the road, we almost had an accident because all the lights on the dashboard lit up and the car itself stopped right on the road where there were a lot of cars. and the children were sitting in the car. we almost had an accident. 5 minutes later the car started and we drove off. Over the past six months this has happened 10 times. Solve the problem or we will go to court. Thank you
The 2023 Honda Accord Sport Hybrid has 8302 miles and it had complete brake failure. We had just refueled the car and moving away from the pumps, the pedal sank to the floor. I pumped the brakes several times and was able to stop the car. This was at about 3MPH. Received a message on the dash that the brakes were compromised and not to drive the car. Shut the car off and restarted. The brake pedal was spongy. We drove home (about 2 miles) very slowly, using the brakes minimally. When I got home, I shut the car off. I decided I wanted a picture of the dash warning, but it didn't return. Went for a very low speed drive to try to duplicate the problem, but it seems normal now. Bringing to original dealer, 12-17-2023. We've had several other issues related to the parking brakes and cruise control on 11-13-23. Brought to dealer on 11-16-23 and they were unable to fix due to part shortage. They failures displayed are: 1 - BRAKE SYSTEM - parking brake not available. 2 - BRAKE SYSTEM - Brake hold system problem. 3 - adaptive cruise control system problem. The drivers side rear seatbelt will not retract. Brought to dealer waiting for part to repair. We are fortunate this happened in a parking lot with little traffic. If this happened on a roadway at speed I would have no way to slow the car. This is a Hybrid so I am not able to downshift, the parking brake is not functioning due to previous problem and the electronic drive doe not provide compression braking if I shut the car off. I w
I was driving at 40mph and the vehicle was driving normally when it abruptly lost all power. There was no acceleration when the accelerator was pushed and I had to guide the vehicle to the side of the road. When the car stopped, a brake warning appeared and instructed me to see the dealer. I turned the car off and it would not restart for about 30 seconds. It finally restarted and I was able to drive the short distance home, however the brake warning remained on the dash. I just had the car towed to the dealer. The road conditions were clear and dry and I had no previous problems with the car. Brake warning: "Brake system: Brake system problem. Brake performance may be reduced. See your dealer." Thankfully I had not yet entered the highway where the car's rapid deceleration could have caused an accident at highway speeds and jeopardized the safety of those in my vehicle and others on the roadway. I read that there has been a very limited recall on accord hybrids due to similar issues (NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID Number: 23V588000) and I believe this issue should be further investigated to determine whether the problems are more widespread.
Car sunroof exploded while driving on highway, was going 65 on the 75(N central expressway) Dallas,TX. 3 passengers (family) in car and witnessed the incident. Glass shattered and got all over us, minor injuries such as cuts. Almost hit somebody upon explosion and glass shattering which landed on me and passengers, luckily we didn’t crash. Weather was 62 degrees and took place at 10:02 PM so weather wasn’t too hot or too cold to cause the explosion. Super scary as we could have been hit, especially driving on a highway where you can’t stop and pull off right of way. Again no objects were thrown and the car has no other damage but sunroof. Person on roadside said that this has happened before to Hondas and Acuras. After brought to Dealer twice, I was told by Honda that they are not responsible for the car and never offered to even fix it or quote it. I bought/ leased the car 2 months ago and yet they are saying it’s not a manufacturing issue.
When lane keep assist is enabled high speed steering becomes harder to turn left or right, and get sticky at the center position. This leads to an increased effort needed to turn the steering wheel wheel either left or right past the center position
I experienced 8 separate malfunctions in the CMBS in 2 days. The systems problems still persists. And it is obvious that Honda is aware of the problem since nothing has changed in 10 years according to reports of the first incidences of the CMBS failures. I drove on the NAFTA super highway which is congested with semi-trucks. As described in the owners manual pg 413 it is obvious there is 1)radio waves interruptions, the car shutters just as the rear of the cab is approached, mostly like the transponders location, 3 occurances this trip but many more in the past 6 months since I purchased the vehicle. 2)Reflection from a trailer pallet bundle wrapped in clear plastic, it was obvious the glare from headlights created a reflection and caused the system to shutter the brakes and flash the BRAKE sign. 3) while driving into a curve with yellow reflective arrows caused the brakes to shutter. 4)in a dangerous construction zone while driving in the right lane against large white concrete barrier, the reflection created a sudden brake shutter. 5)Today, while driving in the rain through a neighborhood street, testing the cruise control at 27mph the brakes shuttered at a puddle reflection. I just got home from the Dealership who has no answers or solutions. And is very aware of the problem. Which in itself sounds unscrupulous. Paying all this money for a safety problem that could easily cause an accident.
When driving the car at 45 mph, warning lights came on for: (1)Vehicle Stability system problem. Reduced traction and handling. See your dealer. (2)Electric power steering system problem. Steering assist reduced. See your dealer. (3)Hill start assist problem. Vehicle my role upon brake release. See your dealer. (4)Adaptive cruise control system problem. See your dealer. (5)Brake System problem. Brake Performance may be reduced. See your dealer. While these messages flashed, the car lost ability to accelerate, steer very well, and brake very well. The car came to a stop after it slowed and I slammed on the brakes as hard as I could. I placed in in park, turned it off, and then turned it back on. It drove normally for a few minutes and then another warning light came on for a few seconds. It disappeared and the car drove normally. The dealer said a code showed up but they couldn't replicate the issue. They ended up replacing the battery because they didn't want to give it back to me without a fix. About 4 weeks later, we were stopped on the highway and in park waiting for over an hour. As we sat there, the warning light came on that said, "Electric parking brake system problem. Parking brake not available. See your dealer." The dealer kept the car for 2 weeks, couldn't replicate the problem, and said there were no codes. They offered no fix. 2 weeks after that, the car flashed up a warning light while driving 5 mph in a parking lot. The warning light said that the "Lane assist"
Purchased the vehicle with 23 miles, notice the ride quality getting worse over the passing months. at 5800k miles or so I had to contact the dealership to report a possible issue so before driving 90 mins to an appointment I checked all wheel lug nuts, 3 lug nuts on the driver side and 2 lug nuts on the passenger side front were not properly torqued at the manufactures plant when built. I had the dealership check the front suspension, and balance of each wheel to find out the front two wheels were not properly balanced at the manufacture plant so the dealership corrected the balance issue. Unfortunately, that did not improve the ride quality which got worse to where it started to feel like the driver side tire was going flat. I took the vehicle to a 3rd party wheel/tire shop and had a road force check on the driver tire which initally showed the tire was defective, contacted goodyear corporate which they provided a credit towards the cost of a new replacement tire. The real issue came forward when the tire shop removed the tire which exposed the rim and a defective part know as a sound-deadening attachment to the rim which upon inspection was actually eating away at the tire from the inside with every rotation while driving. I took photos/video of the rim along with the bad tire to the dealership which was warrantied out and a new rim from Honda and new tire from goodyear was later installed. If i had driven 500 or less miles possibly on the interstate a blowout definitely w
If using remote start to start the vehicle, and then you get into the vehicle, the seatbelt chime will not chime after you turn the car all the way on. It will only chime once the engine is powered on initially, during remote start where the driver will not hear it.
All of my safety turned off and it says check engine and it won’t stop illuminating and it scares me because this is a 2023 vehicle and I’ve had it for 3600 miles and that’s it and this is like the second time this has done it to me.
25AUG2023 At 75 mph multiple vehicle systems failed simultaneously and car lost power. Numerous codes were displayed on the dash in succession. Vehicle's loss of power slowed it rather quickly. Messages that I recall being displayed as the car lost power: TPMS; Brake System, Power Steering, Air bag; Vehicle Stability Assist, etc. Small video clip was taken during the event; however, due to obvious safety issues related to trying to move the car safely to the shoulder of the road during morning rush hour traffic, the video is short. Soon after pulling onto the shoulder the vehicle began flashing all electrical items in the car and then there was complete loss of power including the hazard lights. (other videos were taken of the various flashing warnings and the vehicle's behavior as it finally went into complete failure....however, I am unable to upload to this site.) Vehicle was towed to the nearest Honda dealer. Honda North, Butler PA 16001 28AUG2023 Honda dealer verified that the car logged multiple DTC codes for various systems modules but could not replicate the failure. Car was given a short road test and no issues presented themselves. Honda North requested to keep the car for one more day for further investigation and a longer test ride with more diagnostics. 29AUG2023 Honda North performed a longer (@20 mi) road test and stated the vehicle performed without issue. They explained that they had nothing from Honda engineering to indicate any action to take related to suc
Well, I don't really know what to do.. Last night the car was sitting in the garage on. And playing a seminar I was watching.on my phone. The keys were nowhere around the car, and the door was unlocked and the car was just sitting there on in the garage. We've only had the car five days, but this worries me.. It reminds me of [XXX] . This is the first year of this body styles and I hope it never does anything weird like this on the freeway (cutting off) or parked in front of a store. Then again this morning the door was unlocked already and didn't beep to open. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
The contact owns a 2023 Honda Accord. The contact stated while driving approximately 48 MPH, the brake warning light illuminated, and the vehicle jerked abnormally while coming to a stop. The contact depressed the accelerator pedal aggressively to avoid the vehicle from stopping. The dealer was contacted; however, the vehicle had not been diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 8,000.
Regenerative braking system remains applied/engaged/enabled when accelerating.
Sunroof shattered while driving down the road
While driving I received a message stating the automatic emergency braking, steering assist, lane keeping assist, braking assist, hill hold, adaptive cruise control all we turned off. Additionally regenerative braking was also turned off. This system problem did not clear after the car turned off and back on. The dealership addressed the issue, but unsure of the cause. All codes were cleared and the system was recalibrated. This is the first incident of this type with this vehicle.
I was driving the car on I four east toward Orlando going towards Disney World. Just bought the car two days ago and had 10 miles on it. It’s a Honda accord hybrid sport, the engine start shaking smoking while I’m in the middle lane going 70 miles an hour the whole car shuts off and it has every single code known to man come up on HondaLink and I feel like a dealer is making me keep his car.
The seatbelt fabric seems to be wearing/rubbing off. Every time I buckle up, I have a bunch of its fabric all over my shirt. Thinking after a little more uses that the seatbelt will thin itself out a break or pop and won’t be strong enough to protect me

While driving in NC tonite, I was coming to a stop light near road construction. Suddenly my Accord hybrid jerked and stuttered and then stalled out. When I restarted my Accord hybrid the instrument cluster had a large amber warning that my braking system has a problem and that braking may be reduced. Really? And the warning on my instrument cluster also said to take my 2023 Accord hybrid with 248 miles on it, to the dealer. I just bought the vehicle on Feb 28, 2023! Did I buy a lemon?

NHTSA publishes every complaint as the owner wrote it and investigates only a fraction. Spelling, capitalisation and judgement are the filer’s own. What carries weight is repetition: the same component failing the same way across many filings, and whether the manufacturer eventually opened a recall for it.
