2021 Highland Ridge Fw Mesa Ridge XLT

Defect. Highland Ridge RV (Highland Ridge) is recalling certain 2021-2022 Mesa Ridge, Mesa Ridge XLT, Mesa Ridge S-Lite, Open Range, Open Range Roamer, and Open Range Lite fifth wheel and travel trailers. The quick disconnect fittings in the LP gas system may be cracked, causing a gas leak.

Risk. A gas leak in the presence of an ignition source can increase the risk of a fire.

Remedy. Dealers will replace the quick disconnect fittings, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed May 23, 2022. Owners may contact Highland Ridge customer service at 1-800-283-8267. Highland Ridge's number for this recall is 9904577.

The contact owns a 2021 Highland Ridge RV. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 21E071000 (Equipment); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The contact stated that the LP control gas pressure became inadvertently excessive with no warning lights illuminated. The dealer was not contacted. The RV was not diagnosed or repaired.
