Engine slowly loses antifreeze which is leaking into cylinders. This causes overheating and cracked block. This is a problem with all Ford 1.6 litre motors. Ford knows this!

Lug-nuts corroded under the plating causing the service dealer (NTB) to not be able to get the proper size wrench on them to remove and then re-tighten. They said new lug-nuts would be required to service the tires (been driving and servicing vehicles for 50+ years, this is the first vehicle I had to replace the lug-nuts). Had to purchase a new set of 20 lug-nuts to resolve the issue. Unfortunately, it is a bad two piece design on the lug-nut and should be re-engineered. I could have forced the lug-nuts off myself, but if this happens to my wife or daughters when they need to replace a flat, it would be a big safety concern. Ford should address it.

Our Ford Escape 2014 has two safety recalls. My complaint is that they didn't fix it timely. One of the door latches failed and the door was opened by itself on the road in August 2022. I have taken the car to a local FORD dealership and got it inspected. They said they would request the parts and fix it. However, nothing happened after weeks of waiting. I have checked back many times, and they kept saying that the parts were not available. Now, we have been driving a car that has one door unlocked for the past 1.5 years. How to solve this? FYI. Dealer name and address, Mission Valley Ford Truck Sls. 780 East Brokaw Rd, San Jose, CA 95112 (408) 471-2302. I also contacted the FORD customer service department in 2022; they asked me to check with the local dealership for parts availability.

UNKNOWN My engine is cracked and leaking fluid. This has been verified by an independent mechanic inspection. Passenger safety is threatened by stalling in traffic or engine fire. The check engine light signaled the issue. Strikingly similar issues for similar vehicles of the same make (2014 Ford Escape ) from the same factory (Louisville) built at the same time (2014) have already been documented in recall 17V09 (Ford recall 17s09). I am fearful my car will catch fire as well. I would have reported this issue sooner but I received misleading information from Ford which told me that NHTSA bore responsibility for including my vehicle in this recall. Since the incident I have been working with my mechanic, the dealer, and Ford, and finally called NHTSA on 12/22/2023 (call 1459052).

Hello -- 1) My wife explained to me that the acceleration would rev very high on rpms but no power -- ( 1st & 2nd especially) then the check engine light came on -- I drove it to check and there was something very wrong -- unfortunately I could find no dealers w\o a full months wait or more -- Then on the Friday after Thanksgiving she came home & said she had no brakes -- I take it for a ride to investigate -- sure enough the vacuum booster failed -- like driving w manual brakes in the old days & u still need to use the emergency brake -- It failed as she drove (no idea) til she needed to stop -- fortunately we live in a rural area and she had space and time to try to figure out what happened -- otherwise there would have been at the least a deadly car crash from behind -- When the accelleration fails there will be death from being broadsided entering traffic -- what a choice !!!! -- Also it might not seem too big a deal but the A\C condensate drain line plugs up and there will be 2" of water on floor inside the cab on both sides -- I had to finally fix it because i couldnt take it anywhere because -- no parts -- too busy -- UNFORTUNATELY THE PERSON WHO DRIVES THIS VEHICLE HAS ASTHMA -- THE MOLD AND MILDEW WERE UNREAL -- How are there no recalls on these life altering situations ?? I work for this company and I'm thoroughly disgusted. The date for A\C & turbo was in August -- the failed brakes is the date below -- I just got the vehicle back today and the brakes work because

I purchased this vehicle used in 2017. I’ve had no issues until this year with coolant level problems. Every time the car went in limp mode, coolant had to be added several times. I went online to see if my car had any recent non-repaired recalls-there were none. However, I did find that there was a recall-#17S09-which is a coolant issue. Went to Preston Ford in MD who told me I need a $10,000 new motor because coolant is leaking in cylinder 4. If the coolant problem was repaired prior to me purchasing the car, why am I now having a coolant problem. I don’t think I should be responsible for any repairs to correct this problem. Please let me know what my next steps should be in situation. Thank you!

My car's coolant is leaking, this may lead to many belts breaking and engine failure. There are many reports online about coolant leaking and totaling the Ford Escapes. This puts me and others at risk because my car could stop working at any time while driving it. My dealership has noted that the coolant was leaking, but did not notify me about it. No warnings or lights came up on my car besides telling me my coolant was low, I refilled it multiple times.

My entire automatic transmission system failed at 122,000 miles without warning as I was driving down the highway. I heard a whirring noise and as I accelerated and started jumping and making clunking noises as it shifted gears. Eventually I was unable to move at all and turned and rolled to the side of the road. This could easily cause an accident as there was never any warning signs my transmission would go out. The car never pulled up a code or flashed a warning system before I was left stranded. The car was checked out by a mechanic and the transmission is completely finished. After researching the problem cars of my same make and model have been experiencing this issues around 80,000-120,000 miles for years and ford has made no attempt to rectify the situation or solve the issue.

My car began to overheat and enter limp mode, when diagnosed the codes that appeared correlated directly with a safety recall issued in 2017. I brought my car to ford 2x to have them service the recall. I was given my car back, with the check engine light on and still overheating.i went to another dealership, who diagnosed my car again and I paid 712$ for a “water outlet connector “ and this did not resolve the issue. Ford decided to keep the car for 2 months, unable to diagnose the issue, they kept dropping it off to me and it would overheat… they towed it 2x back to the dealership for overheating after they drove 100+ miles on it. Instead of fixing the issue, they kept telling me it was not overheating and dropped it off to me with the check engine light on, the same codes, and overheating… stopping abruptly at high speeds. I brought it back to ford after it cut power at 50 mph with my daughter in it… Now I am being told, I have a cracked cylinder head and the recalled part has nothing to do with the cracked cylinder head … which was not cracked prior too all the repairs done. I was not informed that it was cracked, until November 6 2023. My car has been serviced since July 21st 2023. A cracked cylinder head, is a direct result of a faulty recalled part… which ford replaced a coolant level sensor and stand pipe to prevent this issue. It is not resolved. The estimated the repair at 5800$ and failed to give me any invoices. Refusing to work on my vehicle.

Contacted Ford again fourth time about saftey recall=20S30/20V331. I've been trying to get this fixed since i got the vehicle and recall letters from Ford. Multiple failed attempts because dealership's in my area stood me up, told me they dont do recalls, and said it was basically my fault for buying Ford. Ford customer service is no help, all they say is get in touch with my local dealership's to get it resolved. Duh!! Thats what I've been trying to do, then they give me contact details for dealerships that already stood me up and who said they cant fix the recall. So why bother. Unbelievable, i might as well just contact the dealership i purchased from and surrender the vehicle. Never will i buy Ford again!! Their customer service is lousy!

There is a recall for power steering problems from 2008/2013 for the same issues as my SUV. My SUV only has 33,000 miles on it. I think Ford didn't stop using faulty parts in their 2014 models. I was angry and mad because they just lied to me, i have the texts from the dealership service team and a automated reminder that my appointment was mobile at 9am. I said get me another appt, the next appt was on the 26th of April at 9am it was mobile. Then the night of the 25th i get a notification that my appointment tomorrow is at the dealership at 8.30 am. I was dumbfounded, thats not what was discussed, it was mobile,(i have the texts) i couldn't go in to the dealership because my husband was working on the tires. So another missed appt by the dealership's error not mine. I called again no one answers me. I decided to contact Ford customer service directly, they said they will get in touch with another local Ford dealer to fix my saftey recall but, didnt get a reply back.
