- Year: 2026 - Make: Venom Motorsports - Model: X22R 250 (street-legal sport motorcycle) - VIN: [add if known — check your Venom order emails; file without it if not] - Purchased: NEW, February 21, 2026, Order #59332, $3,200, from Venom Motorsports USA, Anaheim, CA ## Incident date Weld failure discovered April 2026 (close-up video of the failed welds dated 04/01/2026). ## Mileage Unknown — ridden approximately 1–2 months before the failure was discovered. ## Component Structure: Frame / Engine mounts. ## Description of the defect The motor mount welds broke off the motorcycle's frame. The welds securing the engine to the frame failed completely — the engine mounts separated from the frame tubing during normal street riding, approximately 1–2 months after I purchased the bike new. An engine separating from its frame mounts while a motorcycle is in motion can cause sudden loss of control, the engine dropping into the roadway, and a crash. I have close-up video of the failed welds dated April 1, 2026. ## History The bike arrived with shipping damage (broken clutch lever, cracked fenders, no battery included). After about 2 months waiting for warranty parts, I rode it roughly 1–2 months before discovering the motor mount weld failure. The manufacturer refused to replace it ("all sales final") and instead offered to reimburse me if I paid a third party to re-weld the frame — I declined. The motorcycle was later destroyed in a residential fire on July 28, 2026, so it is no longer

Reading this record
No unusual pattern of severe incidents in the complaint record.
Complaint counts track how many cars were sold and how long they have been on the road as much as they track quality. A common model from 2013 has had a decade to accumulate reports; a rare one from last year has not. The signal worth weighing is in the severity columns, in whether the same component keeps appearing, and in whether the manufacturer eventually opened a recall for it.
Most recent recall on file: none. Source: NHTSA Office of Defects Investigation.
