TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 BABY TREND REARFACING INFANT SEAT, MODEL TYPE: CS61529 (NA). THE SEAT WAS MANUFACTURED ON AUGUST 10, 2015. WHEN PRESSING THE HANDLE TO RELEASE IT FROM MOVING UP AND DOWN, THE HANDLE WOULD MOVE FROM POSITION AND BECOME DIFFICULT TO HOLD. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE PURCHASE DATE WAS UNKNOWN.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A BABY TREND INFANT CHILD SAFETY SEAT, MODEL NUMBER: PS27959, MANUFACTURED DECEMBER 1, 2011. THE CONTACT STATED THAT HER FIVE-MONTH OLD CHILD WAS ABLE TO UNLATCH THE CHEST HARNESS STRAPS WITH EASE. ONCE THE CHILD WAS ABLE TO UNLATCH THE HARNESS STRAPS, ALL OF THE REMAINING STRAPS WOULD BECOME LOOSE, ALLOWING THE CHILD TO MANEUVER OUT OF THE SEAT. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE.
