On Saturday, September 5th, my Aprilia Tuareg failed in operation, in traffic. The Heim bolt that serves as the interface between the shifter and the quickshifter sheared off leaving me unable to shift out of first gear. This is a known issue based on the Aprilia forums and has been going on for some time. Aprilia has mad no moves in the lifespan of this model to upgrade either the Heim bolt or the pain pivot bolt for the shifter which is also known to fail. I find this unacceptable and would seek your help. I can have other Tuareg owners provide similar stories but a web search will reveal the ungoing operational problem that is quite dangerous. Thank you.
