I WAS DRIVING ON A SMOOTH PAVED ROAD, ALL OF A SUDDEN THE CAR STARTED DRIFTING UNCONTROLLABLY LIKE I WAS ON ICE, AND WAS MAKING A SCRAPING AND GRINDING/RATTLING SOUND. I STOPPED AND LOOKED AT THE REAR OF THE CAR AND THE REAR END WAS SLIGHTLY ANGLED. WHEN I LOOKED UNDER THE CAR THERE WAS WHAT I CAME TO LEARN IS A UPPER CONTROL ARM HANGING. A FRIEND OF MINE WHO IS A MECHANIC TOLD ME THAT THE BUSHINGS AND BALL JOINT WENT BAD, BUT THE BALL JOINT WAS STILL ATTACHED BUY BARELY. HE REPLACED THE WHOLE CONTROL ARM FOR ME, AS IT WAS DESTROYED WHEN IT LET LOOSE. THIS COULD HAVE BEEN A DEADLY SITUATION FOR MY KIDS AND MYSELF. *TR
