Defect. THE FUEL RACK WITHIN BOSCH INJECTION PUMPS MAY FAIL AND SEPARATE FROM THE ACTUATOR.
Risk. THIS CONDITION MAY NOT ALLOW THE ENGINE TO RETURN TO IDLEWHEN THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL IS RELEASED, CAUSING LOSS OF ENGINE SPEED CONTROL,WHICH COULD RESULT IN A VEHICLE ACCIDENT.
Remedy. REPLACE THE DEFECTIVE PARTS IN THE FUEL INJECTION PUMP.
