TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 RUFF AND TUFF NEV 2 ELECTRIC VEHICLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE BEGAN TO SMOKE AFTER IT WAS PARKED. UPON INSPECTING THE VEHICLE, THE CONTACT NOTICED THAT THE WIRING HARNESS WAS THE SOURCE OF THE SMOKE. THE WIRING HARNESS WAS CUT OUT FROM THE VEHICLE TO PREVENT A POTENTIAL FIRE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE, BUT OFFERED NO ASSISTANCE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO BE REPAIRED. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGES WERE UNKNOWN.
