TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 FORD F350 EQUIPPED WITH MOTO METAL 909 WHEELS (NA). THE CONTACT WAS DRIVING 60 MPH WHEN THE FRONT DRIVER'S SIDE WHEEL SOUNDED AS IF IT EXPLODED. THE WHEELS THEN STARTED FRACTURING INTO SEVERAL FRAGMENTED PIECES. THE VEHICLE STARTED TO FUNCTION ERRATICALLY AS THE CONTACT MERGED OFF THE ROAD. THE WHEEL FAILURE CAUSED DAMAGE TO THE SIDE OF THE VEHICLE. THE WHEEL WAS REMOVED AND THE SPARE TIRE WAS INSTALLED IN ITS PLACE. THERE WAS NO INDICATION THAT THERE WAS ANY FAILURE WITH THE WHEEL. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED WHO INFORMED THE CONTACT TO CALL THE DISTRIBUTOR. THE DISTRIBUTOR WAS NOTIFIED AND ADVISED THE CONTACT TO SEND PICTURES AND A COPY OF THE RECEIPT. THE VEHICLE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 75,000 AND THE FAILURE MILEAGE OF THE WHEEL WAS 70,000. UPDATED 01/09/13*LJ
