TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 LIFETIME TRAILER, MODEL NUMBER 65005. WHILE CHANGING THE TIRE, THE CONTACT NOTICED THAT THE BEARING WAS LOOSE. HE PROCEEDED TO PULL OFF THE BEARING CAP AND NOTICED THAT THERE WAS NO COTTER PIN IN THE CASTLE NUT. AS A RESULT, THE TIRE COULD COME OFF OR BURN A BEARING, WHICH COULD POSSIBLY CAUSE A CRASH. THE CONTACT REPLACED THE COTTER PIN HIMSELF AND IS IN THE PROCESS OF NOTIFYING THE MANUFACTURER. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS NOT APPLICABLE.
