Defect. AFTERMARKET VECTOR COFFEE MAKERS PACKAGED AS GREATLAND, MODEL NO. VEC216GT, AND VECTOR, MODEL NO. VEC216. THE HEATING ELEMENT INSIDE THE PRODUCT CAN LOOSEN CAUSING IT TO COME IN CONTACT WITH THE PLASTIC BOTTOM LAYER WHICH SUBSEQUENTLY HEATS THE SURFACE IT SETS ON.

Risk. POSSIBLE FIRE CAN OCCUR.

Remedy. VECTOR HAS NOTIFIED ITS RETAILERS TO REMOVED THE PRODUCT FROM THE SHELVES AND THEY WILL REPLACE THE DEFECTIVE COFFEE MAKER WITH ANOTHER MODEL. NOTIFICATION BEGAN DECEMBER 13, 2002. OWNERS WHO DO NOT RECEIVED THE FREE REMEDY WITHIN A REASONABLE TIME SHOULD CONTACT VECTOR PRODUCTS, INC. AT 954-584-4442.

TL*THE CONTACT ORDERED A 120-PIECE HARBOR FREIGHT AUTOMOTIVE FLAT FUSE SET (NA) FOR HIS VEHICLE IN JUNE OF 2006. UPON USING THE FUSES, THE CONTACT RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE PERTAINING TO THE FUSES CATCHING FIRE. HE RETURNED THE FUSES TO THE MANUFACTURER ON NOVEMBER 9, 2007 IN ORDER TO RECEIVE A FULL REFUND. AS OF AUGUST 6, 2007, HE HAS NOT YET RECEIVED NEW FUSES OR BEEN REIMBURSED. THE CONTACT CALLED THE MANUFACTURER ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS, BUT WAS UNSUCCESSFUL WITH HAVING THE ISSUE RESOLVED. THERE HAD BEEN NO FAILURE TO DATE. THE RECALL NUMBER WAS UNKNOWN.
